About ASAM
A.S.A.M. at Mont Kanasuta is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1980. The team of qualified coaches guide their students to develop their ski potential while making new friends and having fun all winter long. Parents can actively participate in organizing activities and of course take advantage of this outdoor activity.
Activities
As soon as the season begins, young skiers receive their training on the slopes by qualified coaches every Saturday and Sunday. Skiers participate at their own pace therefore may ski either one or two days per week. Activities are adapted to age and ski abilities (beginner to advanced). Ski instruction is personalized yet team spirit equally encouraged.
Pre-season training
Starting late October, skiers are invited to participate in the pre-season training which consists of a two hour training either indoors or outdoors up until the opening of Mont Kanasuta.
Competitions
There are four regional competitions that skiers are welcomed to participate in that take place at Mont Video (Barraute), at Kamiskotia Ski Resort (Timmins, ON), and at Mont Kanasuta.
Social Activities
Social activities consist of a three-day Christmas ski camp activity, a Valentine's Day brunch and a end of season party.
